ICIDS is the premier conference for researchers and practitioners concerned with studying digital interactive forms of narrative from a variety of perspectives, including the theoretical, technological, and applied design practices. The annual conference is an interdisciplinary gathering that combines technology-focused approaches with humanities-inspired theoretical inquiry, empirical research and artistic expression.
Register for ICIDS 2018With this 11th edition of the conference, ICIDS is now entering its second decade. The field of interactive narrative has matured considerably over this period, and the organizers take this year’s milestone as an opportunity to introduce new overarching topics that reflect some of the considerable developments over the past decades. The ICIDS 2018 Art Exhibition provides a platform for artists to explore digital media for interactive storytelling from the perspective of a particular curatorial theme: Non- Human Narratives. Note that the curatorial theme is intended to inspire, not constrain, and will be developed further to accommodate the accepted works. The demonstration sessions will be informal event during which conference participant can network and engage with work on display.
Demonstration exhibitors will be present at the sessions in order to facilitate experiences and explain technical and conceptual aspects of their demonstration.
